This card has a dual use. Firstly, it can be used to buff a creature you control or it can be used to debuff a creature your opponent is attacking or blocking with.
The creature itself has decent toughness so when combats over it can still be used for blocking. Furthermore, with Flash, this creature can be the emergency defender you need.
The only drawback is the reactive nature of holding the card in hand until the perfect moment, which might never happen.
